The nuclear factor erythroid 2–related factor 2 (Nrf2) is an emerging regulator of cellular resistance to oxidants that regulates a lot of defense gene expression.Thus, the aim of the present paper collection will be examine the role of NRF2 as a promising strategy for several acute or chronic diseases that are characterized by oxidative stress and inflammation, such as neurodegenerative, cardiovascular, and metabolic diseases.
